Just have to wait for the new MAF sensor that is on backorder, they actually pulled one from one of the mechanics daily driver just to test it out.
Update 2: Finally heard some news from the shop, good news too! The ICP sensor and the MAF sensor (both from Napa Auto Parts) that I replaced were messing with the computer, the shop replaced both with Ford Motorcraft parts and it now has boost. Will post again when those come in and I can press on. Update 1: shop called, they want to replace the EGR valve and the MAF sensor just to continue the testing. It also did that on the flat straight stretch just before my driveway. When I drove it home from the shop (before turbo swap), maybe 3 miles, I was using the gears for going up a little hill and once I got the RPMs up the turbo seemed to "kick in" and it was creating boost, but as soon as I let off the throttle it went back to no boost. Swapped the turbo yesterday, still no boost, all the boots look and feel good, no soft spots or misaligned clamps, turbo sense line (going to map sensor) is in good condition. Long story short, had a shop do a diagnosis on my 04 Excursion with the 6.0 Powerstroke, came back that the turbo is done and not creating boost. Since it knows both your boost pressure and your air/fuel ratio, it will automatically cut boost if you go lean. This combines four devices in one: It’s a boost gauge It’s a wideband O2 sensor gauge It’s a boost controller And it’s a shift light, all in one package that fits in a 52 mm gauge pod.
